"Comparing myself to Alcaraz would be disrespectful to him," says Bublik

Alexander Bublik is currently in the best form of his career. Currently ranked 16th in the world, the Kazakh player still holds slim hopes of qualifying for the ATP Finals.

While some have compared his game to that of Carlos Alcaraz, Bublik was keen to set the record straight: "I absolutely cannot compare myself to Carlos Alcaraz; we must not disrespect him in that way.

But it's obvious that I've improved a lot in my shot selection; otherwise, I wouldn't be winning so many matches and maintaining this consistency. So I hope to continue this momentum."

Bublik will face Alex de Minaur this Friday for a spot in the semifinals at the Rolex Paris Masters.
