A 200 km/h Missile During Warm-Up": When Medvedev Told a Hilarious Anecdote About Mpetshi Perricard
Last year, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard made a splash at the end of the season by winning the ATP 500 in Basel, securing victories against Auger-Aliassime, Shapovalov, Rune, and Shelton.
Shortly after the Frenchman's title win, Daniil Medvedev shared a nice anecdote on the show Stade 2:
"Karen Khachanov had told me something about Giovanni. He played doubles with him in Washington.
During the warm-up, he tells him he's going to hit a second ball... Then he fires a 200 km/h missile (laughs). Karen says to him: 'What was that?'. Giovanni replies: 'I slowed down by 10 km/h'.
