After his setback at the US Open, Jannik Sinner got back to winning ways against Carlos Alcaraz in Turin. Justine Henin, the former champion, analyzed the Italian's performance.

For the Belgian, this victory is far from being just another chapter in the Italian's already exceptional season. According to her, Sinner was playing for much more than just a match: he was playing for his mental balance against his biggest rival on the tour.

Indeed, before this match, the world number 2 had lost 7 of his last 8 official encounters against Alcaraz. A record that Henin describes as "very hard to handle psychologically" for the young Italian.

"In addition to the second title here in Turin, Sinner won a victory against Carlos Alcaraz, in what was the first real challenge after the defeat at the US Open, because that KO was very difficult for him.

Alcaraz may have been hampered by the physical problem he suffered during the match, he didn't manage to make the right choices or play better in the second set. But considering all these factors, you had to be in top form, and Sinner was. It's another well-deserved title for him," Henin concludes.
