A page turns": Enzo Couacaud announces his retirement

Having fallen to 551st place in the world rankings, Enzo Couacaud announced this Tuesday on his Instagram account that he is retiring. The 30-year-old Frenchman's career-high ranking was world No. 151 in 2023.
He had also reached the second round of Roland-Garros in 2021 against Egor Gerasimov and the second round of the Australian Open in 2023 against Hugo Dellien, before taking a set off Novak Djokovic, the eventual tournament winner.
On his Instagram account, he stated: "Today, it is with great emotion that I announce my sporting retirement. Tennis gave me everything: immense joys, unforgettable battles, travels, encounters that will remain forever engraved.
But above all, it forged me as a man. I leave the courts in peace, with the certainty of having always given my best, in victory as in defeat.
Thank you to my family, to my loved ones, to my team and to all those who supported me in the most difficult moments as well as in the most beautiful ones. Your trust and your love have been my greatest strength.
To you, the fans, thank you for believing in me, for getting excited alongside me, for sharing this adventure. A page turns, but the book is far from finished. Time for new projects, new passions, and, who knows, perhaps other ways of giving back to tennis everything it has given me. Thank you for everything.
