Two French Players Serve as Sparring Partners for Sinner and Alcaraz Ahead of Roland-Garros Final

This Sunday at 3 PM, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will face off in the grand finale of the 2025 Roland-Garros edition. The climax of a thrilling tournament, where the two favorites ultimately held their ground to reach the final. For the first time, a Grand Slam final will feature two players born after the year 2000.
Before stepping onto a packed Court Philippe-Chatrier for this highly anticipated match, the world’s top two players prepared for the final by hitting the court with French players.
The French Tennis Federation confirmed that Moïse Kouamé spent time practicing with Sinner, while Enzo Couacaud served as Alcaraz’s sparring partner.
A great experience for both French players. Ranked 834th in the world, Kouamé continues his rise. At 16, he was invited to compete in the Madrid Masters 1000 qualifiers before losing to Botic van de Zandschulp.
He also participated in the Roland-Garros qualifiers and the Junior tournament. However, he had less success than last year, when he reached the quarterfinals, as he was defeated in the first round this time.
Meanwhile, Enzo Couacaud (formerly ranked 151st in the ATP) has dropped to 412th in the world and has played exclusively on the Challenger circuit this year. He hasn’t competed in a tournament since his second-round loss at the Campinas Challenger in Brazil in early April.
