After practice, she asked me for a couple of tips," Djokovic praises Sabalenka
In an interview shared by *Punto de Break*, Novak Djokovic reflected on the camaraderie he shares with Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka. The two players shared a practice session ahead of Wimbledon and have also been behind many amusing moments off the court:
"It was the first time I practiced with her. I’d say any success I have from now on should be credited to her (laughs). Jokes aside, we have a great relationship. I know she has a strong team around her. I’m not surprised she’s doing so well.
I love her personality and how she balances the court, her life outside, and the way she brings out her fierceness as a competitor. She deserves to be No. 1, she’s very consistent. After practice, she asked me for a couple of tips. I’m always happy to share things with someone. It’s something I’ve done many times with my colleagues.
What we talked about will stay between us, and I hope it helps her, even if it’s something she’s probably heard before. Maybe hearing it from me will have a different impact on her. I’m flattered that the world No. 1 came to me for advice. It’s a privileged position.
