Alcaraz Advances to Final After Musetti's Withdrawal at Roland-Garros

Alcaraz faced Musetti in the Roland-Garros semifinals.
Alcaraz appeared to struggle with his movement, pressured by Musetti's technical precision. The Italian, solid on his service games and aggressive on his opponent's serves, took the first set 6-4.
Frustrated and frequently looking toward his team, the Spaniard fought hard to secure the tie-break in the second set. Far more aggressive, he took time away from his opponent to dominate the decisive set (7-3).
The world No. 2 shifted into high gear in the third set, leaving the Italian no room to breathe. Like a steamroller, the Spaniard dismantled the world No. 7, who was visibly struggling with a thigh issue (calling the physio at 0-5). The defending champion sealed the set in just 21 minutes (6-0). Unable to continue, Musetti ultimately retired at 0-1, 30-40 on his serve in the fourth set—a scenario reminiscent of Monte-Carlo last April.
Alcaraz has now secured his second consecutive final at Porte d'Auteuil and will face the winner of the blockbuster clash between Sinner and Djokovic, a three-time champion here.
