Alcaraz and Fritz first players confirmed for Laver Cup 2025

The Laver Cup 2025 will be held in San Francisco, USA.

While the tournament was won by Team Europe last September in Berlin, the first two players to take part in next year's edition have already been announced.

Carlos Alcaraz, who played in the 2024 Laver Cup in Germany, has been confirmed by the organization and will be in California next year.

He is the first member of Team Europe to be made official: "To have all the players I'm used to playing against on the bench cheering me on, sharing the same goal, is unique.

I find it really motivating. I love the energy of the Laver Cup, the environment, the atmosphere. I can't wait to take part again in San Francisco," said Alcaraz.

As for Team World, Taylor Fritz will also be taking part: "The atmosphere, the camaraderie, the team spirit and the excitement of the Laver Cup can't be compared to any other tournament.

I'm sure the energy will be incredible and I hope the fans will come out in force in San Francisco. We really want to win the Laver Cup again," he told the official website.

The eighth edition of the Laver Cup will take place from September 19 to 21, 2025.
