Alcaraz, happy but tired: "It was very demanding".
After a well-deserved break, Carlos Alcaraz is set to return to the courts this Thursday at Cincinnatti.
After a shaky start to the season, the Spanish prodigy has put together a string of incredible results. Back to his best, Alcaraz won the French Open, then Wimbledon, and finally a silver medal at the Olympic Games.
When asked about his current state of form, the El Palmar native confided that he was very satisfied with his level of tennis and his results, but did not hide the fatigue he had accumulated: "I'm also very happy with my tennis and the way I handled the different situations.
I think I've made a lot of progress as a player, so I'm very happy.
The season isn't over yet, and we have to keep on giving our best, but I'll remember these months for the rest of my life.
It was very demanding, Roland-Garros and Wimbledon were great tournaments. Maybe I was physically affected by a few aches and pains that I had to deal with.
That's why I probably needed more days to recover and do nothing. But I'm very satisfied with my last three tournaments."
