Alcaraz holds off Sinner to win Beijing!

This Beijing final will probably go down in history.

After a match of exceptional level, Carlos Alcaraz finally managed to tame a very good Jannik Sinner to claim the title (6-7, 6-4, 7-6 in 3h21).

Overall dominant, the Spaniard went through every emotion on Wednesday.

He was ahead for the whole of the first set, but was unable to make the breakthrough, allowing Sinner to come back and win the first act (7-6).

Still dominant, the El Palmar prodigy then won the second set with authority before breaking early in the final set (6-7, 6-4, 3-1).

Just as he was cruising to victory, the world number 1 once again came back into the game, finally forcing his opponent into a tie-break that was more decisive than ever.

In the end, it was Alcaraz's champagne tennis (55 winners, 52 unforced errors) that got the better of Sinner's more controlled game (30 winners, 31 unforced errors).

One thing's for sure: most fans are already looking forward to the next duel between these two stars!
