Alcaraz: "I really want to feel the love of the people".

With the disappointment of the US Open behind him, Carlos Alcaraz is looking to bounce back and finish his magnificent season on a high note.

Beaten in the second round in New York, he will defend Spain's colors in Valencia this week.

With the Czech Republic, France and Australia all within their reach, and led by the world number 3, Spain have every chance of securing their ticket to the finals.

At least, that's their stated objective.

Asked about this, Alcaraz declared: "I really want to feel the love of the people and experience one more Davis Cup, which I haven't been able to do much of.

Mentally, I'm facing it with a lot of enthusiasm, motivated to keep training and improving.

Physically, I've done a good job since my defeat in New York to be at my best for this Davis Cup and for the rest of the season."
