The Australian Open broke its one-day attendance record on Monday

The 2025 edition of the Australian Open is only in its second day of competition, and has already broken an attendance record.

A total of 95,290 tennis fans were present at the Melbourne venue throughout the day, to watch numerous tour stars such as Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, Naomi Osaka, Coco Gauff and several Australian players.

The previous one-day attendance record was 94,854 in 2023.

It's a sign that tennis continues to draw large crowds, and that Monday's line-up, packed with interesting matches, had a positive impact on the attendance.
