When asked about hypothetical duels against the Big 3, Alcaraz did not dodge the question: Federer at Wimbledon, Djokovic on hard court, Nadal at Roland-Garros… for the Spaniard, the verdict is clear. A humility that contrasts with his status as the tour's boss.

While he is currently facing Félix Auger-Aliassime in the semi-finals of the Masters, Carlos Alcaraz also sparked reactions after statements given the day before to the media El Partidazo de Cope.

Invited to give his opinion on the hypothetical outcome of duels against Federer at Wimbledon, Nadal at Roland-Garros or Djokovic on hard court (Australian Open and US Open), the world No. 1 answered straightforwardly.

Journalist: "The best Alcaraz on grass against the Federer of the great era in the Wimbledon final: who wins?"

Alcaraz: "They are two different eras, but I would say Federer."

Journalist: "The best Alcaraz on hard court against Djokovic?"

Alcaraz: "Hard to say because I haven't reached my peak yet. Today, at the level I'm playing, I would say Djokovic."

Journalist: "And finally: the best Alcaraz on clay or Nadal at Roland-Garros?"

Alcaraz: "I would say Rafa. I have often told my team that I would have liked to face them at their best level to feel what their opponents experienced. But Rafa, without a doubt."
