Alcaraz on playing conditions in Paris: "The court is very slippery".

Alcaraz on playing conditions in Paris: The court is very slippery.

After qualifying for the Round of 16, Carlos Alcaraz admitted that playing conditions this year in Paris are very fast.

Earlier in the day, the ATP had published a statistic on court speed indicating that those at the Paris-Bercy tournament were the fastest of the season (see photo below).

This information was confirmed by the world No.2 after his victory in the 2nd round: "The court is very slippery. We have to adapt, there's no other solution.

For the game and the spectators, the fact that there aren't many exchanges makes it difficult.

Personally, I'd have used a slower court, so there'd be more emotion. With conditions like these, you have to train harder."
