Alcaraz, qualified for the Monte-Carlo final: "I played very good tennis from the first point to the last"

Carlos Alcaraz is back in a Masters 1000 final! The Spanish world No. 3 dominated his compatriot and friend Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in straight sets and on his sixth match point (7-6, 6-4 in 2h09), securing his seventh Masters 1000 final since the start of his career at just 21 years old.
Having never won a single match in Monaco before this year, he has now strung together four consecutive victories—against Francisco Cerundolo, Daniel Altmaier, Arthur Fils, and now Alejandro Davidovich Fokina—to secure his spot in the final.
Before battling for a sixth title in this tournament category, Alcaraz reacted on court after his win, as he prepares to play his first Masters 1000 final since Indian Wells last year.
"I think I played very good tennis from the first point to the last. I tried to take the opportunities he gave me during the match. Alejandro saved a lot of break points and match points, but I’m really happy I stayed focused on myself.
The most important thing is that I feel good physically. It’s been a long time since I played a Masters 1000 final. I had to be patient and keep believing this moment would come again.
Sometimes people are impatient—they want me to be in the final of every tournament. I’m really happy to give them the chance to see me in another final," he told ATP media before facing either Lorenzo Musetti or Alex De Minaur on Sunday.
