Alcaraz stuns Djokovic to win his 2nd Wimbledon!
Carlos Alcaraz put in a masterful performance to win his 2nd consecutive Wimbledon on Sunday. Like last year, he beat Novak Djokovic in the final. But unlike last year's huge 5-set battle, this time he largely dominated his illustrious opponent.
The Spaniard won in three sets (6-2, 6-2, 7-6) and two and a half hours. Despite a final scare when he missed 3 consecutive match points at 5-4 on his serve, he quickly recovered to win the tie-break by 7 points to 4.
At the age of 21, Alcaraz thus wins, as we said, his 2nd Wimbledon, but also his 4th Grand Slam title in 4 finals contested. The previous one came just over a month ago at Roland Garros. Impressive!
