An unprecedented feat: four players defeated the world number 1 and 2 in the same tournament in 2025

The 2025 WTA season will go down in history: for the first time since the creation of the WTA ranking in 1975, four players have won a title after defeating both the world number 1 and 2 in the same tournament.

The 2025 WTA season had its share of surprises and unexpected feats. Among them, 4 players won a title this season by defeating the world number 1 and 2, a first since the WTA tournament was published in 1975.

These 4 players are Madison Keys, winner of the Australian Open by beating Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka, Jelena Ostapenko in Stuttgart, Mirra Andreeva in Indian Wells, and Elena Rybakina at the WTA Finals by beating the same two opponents.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
