An unprecedented final at Queen's this Sunday!

An unprecedented final at Queen's this Sunday!

The line-up for the ATP 500 final at Queen's has been announced, and it's sure to be a surprise. It won't be Alcaraz, De Minaur, Dimitrov or Fritz vying for the title. This Sunday, it's Paul and Musetti who will be battling it out for a chance to add their names to this prestigious tournament's trophy cabinet.

On one side, Tommy Paul. He's the least surprising of the finalists. Ranked 13th in the world, he made the most of Alcaraz's early elimination to reach the final.

After disposing of a Draper who hadn't quite digested his victory over Alcaraz in the Round of 16 the previous day, the American followed up his performance in the semi-finals on Saturday. Faced with his compatriot Sebastian Korda, the 27-year-old didn't waver, winning after just over 1 h 30 of play (7-6, 6-4).

Confident of his strengths, Paul is moving forward quietly and will be aiming for his most prestigious title this Sunday.

On the other side of the net, it's a surprising Lorenzo Musetti who will be taking the field. Well-known for his clay-court skills, the Italian is surprising himself on grass. Having never before reached a semi-final on the surface, Musetti has just won a semi-final (beaten by Berrettini, 6-4, 6-0) and a final this Sunday (against Paul, this Sunday).

After defeating Alex De Minaur in the first round (1-6, 6-4, 6-2), the one-handed backhanded player has enjoyed a string of successes to reach tomorrow's final. Up against a bluffing Jordan Thompson on Saturday, the 22-year-old kept his nerves in check to maintain sufficient quality of play (28 winners, 13 unforced errors) to triumph in a match lasting almost 2 h 20 (6-3, 3-6, 6-3).

Having made a much better-than-expected start to the grass-court season, Musetti will now attempt to complete his magnificent week against Paul on Sunday. The answer in less than 24 hours!
