Andreeva admits: "I'm proud to have fought against my thoughts"
Mirra Andreeva gave an interview for the Roland-Garros website, the tournament where she was a semifinalist last year.
She reflected on her title win at Indian Wells this year, which came after a challenging period for her: "I’m especially proud to have fought against my thoughts and to have won a second WTA 1000 title in Indian Wells, because it’s a very prestigious tournament.
I’m super happy and super proud to have pushed myself and won the tournament.
I know I wasn’t going through the toughest time, but the thoughts weren’t very pleasant, so I’m proud to have overcome that."
