Andrey Rublev Awarded: He Receives the Prestigious ATP Humanitarian Prize
Known for his commitment off the court, especially since establishing his own foundation in 2024, Andrey Rublev was awarded this Monday by receiving the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award.
This distinction, presented by the ATP, highlights players involved in humanitarian or charitable actions. Rublev succeeds Dominic Thiem and joins illustrious figures such as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, and Andre Agassi.
"We will continue to grow the foundation"
The world number 16, who won in Doha this season, reacted on the ATP website:
"I am very happy to receive this award. We are working tirelessly to develop the foundation. We continue to learn; it is something new for us.
It has only existed for two years, so this award means a lot. We will continue our efforts to grow it, improve it, and do more. Thank you very much."
A partnership with a hospital in Rome
The Andrey Rublev Foundation aims to support sick and underprivileged children. In June, the Russian player formed a partnership with the Bambino Gesu pediatric hospital, located in Rome.
He visited the site in April, before the Rome Masters 1000, to meet the children, give them gifts, and interact with the medical staff.
