Andujar: "We will try to change the calendar"

Pablo Andujar, retired since November 2023, now works in the ATP administration as a player representative.
In an interview with Punto de Break, he spoke about his new role and ongoing projects.
"One of the reasons I got involved in the ATP Council is so that lower-ranked players can make a living and earn money.
All these retirement programs, social media, wildcard opportunities for young players contribute to democratizing this kind of support.
These are very important things that allow players to be more connected and better covered, to feel like stakeholders in the industry.
It was necessary for players to feel valued and heard. Over the past four years, all these things have gained momentum.
We have managed to increase prize money and all these programs; now, we will try to change the calendar, to ensure that players play less.
This is an important issue that players face. It's an ecosystem that isn't so easy to change from one year to the next, but we are working on it, trying to give players more rest."
