As a turf specialist, Berrettini pushes Sinner to the limit!
So far, the clash of the day has not disappointed at Wimbledon. In a fratricidal duel between world number 1 Sinner and Berrettini, back from injury, the battle is fierce.
Opposed to a grass-loving opponent (a finalist here in 2021), Sinner has so far been seriously tested. After two very tight first sets, in which he came through each one thanks to some excellent tie-breaks, the 22-year-old was outclassed in the third set (7-6, 7-6, 2-6).
Entering a perilous fourth set, Sinner will need to get back to his best if he is not to be forced back tomorrow. In London, play stops at 11pm.
