Arthur Cazaux is having a fantastic week at the Gstaad tournament.
The Frenchman, after eliminating Nikoloz Basilashvili and Tomas Etcheverry, faced Jerome Kym this Friday, the world No. 154 and a wildcard entry. Kym had defeated Calvin Hemery and Francesco Passaro to also compete in his first ATP Tour quarterfinal.
In this unprecedented duel, Cazaux emerged victorious (6-4, 3-6, 7-5) after 2 hours and 17 minutes of play. This marks his third three-set victory this week.
In tomorrow’s semifinal, he will face Alexander Bublik.
