ATP 250 Adelaide draw: Paul, Korda, Machac and defending champion Lehecka set, Cazaux and Rinderknech in the draw
One tournament follows another at the start of the season. In preparation for the Australian Open, a number of players will be playing an event just before the start of the Australian Grand Slam.
This will be the case at the ATP tournament in Adelaide, which holds its tournament the same week as the women's draw.
Number 1 seed Tommy Paul is exempt from the first round and will have to face Roman Safiullin or a qualified player in his opening match.
As for Sebastian Korda, seeded number 2, he will have to play against a Spanish player, as he will be up against Roberto Bautista Agut or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
Defending champion Jiri Lehecka, who will play in the final in Brisbane on Sunday, has inherited a draw within his reach, as he could face Alexander Bublik in the quarter-finals.
He will first have to win his second-round match against local wird card Tu Li or a qualifier.
Arthur Cazaux will also be taking part in Adelaide and will be up against a qualifier. However, he could come up against Tomas Machac in the second round.
Another French player in the draw is Arthur Rinderknech, who will face Christopher O'Connell.
Three other French players are in the qualifying draw and will be hoping to reach the main draw. They are Hugo Gaston, Quentin Halys and Benjamin Bonzi.
