ATP Awards: Sinner Elected Fan Favorite Player for the Third Consecutive Season
As the season comes to a close, the various winners of the 2025 ATP Awards are being announced gradually.
After Valentin Vacherot (Newcomer of the Year), Samuel Lopez/Juan Carlos Ferrero (Coaches of the Year), Simone Bolelli/Andrea Vavassori (Fan Favorite Doubles Team), and Carlos Alcaraz (Sportsmanship Award), Jannik Sinner has also been honored. The current world number 2 has won the Fan Favorite Player award for the third consecutive season.
"You bring me so much energy and love"
The Italian had already won this award in 2023 and 2024, and becomes only the second player to win this ATP distinction at least three times. Roger Federer was a regular in this category and was elected Fan Favorite Player 19 times in his career, continuously from 2003 to 2021. The main person involved reacted after learning the news.
"Thank you very much for voting for me. Winning the Fan Favorite Player award once again means a lot to me, especially thanks to you. This year has been very intense, but you bring me so much energy and love, particularly when I step onto the court and play in front of you.
It's the best feeling for us tennis players, so thank you very much. I will prepare as best as possible to be ready for next year, and I'll see you very soon," Sinner assured on the official ATP website.
