ATP Finals: Sinner Dominates Zverev and Qualifies for the Semi-Finals!
Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev met this evening for their fourth confrontation of the year. Both winners of their first match in the Björn Borg group, they were aiming for a spot in the final four of the ATP Finals.
Zverev put up a solid opposition, creating break opportunities in each set. But his lack of realism (0/7 on break points) cost him dearly, whereas Sinner perfectly seized his opportunities.
With a decisive break at the end of the first set and another in the heart of the second, the world No. 2 made the difference. In front of a Turin crowd entirely on his side, the Italian won 6-4, 6-3 in 1 hour and 36 minutes, securing his seventh consecutive victory in the tournament without losing a single set.
Already qualified for the semi-finals, Sinner continues his journey at home, while Zverev will play for his survival on Friday against Félix Auger-Aliassime.
