ATP Ranking - Zverev new world number 2
Alexander Zverev announced several weeks ago that he had set his sights on finishing the year as world number 2.
Taking advantage of Carlos Alcaraz's early elimination in Paris, the German has rediscovered his best tennis. As a result, he won the title and once again became the runner-up to Jannik Sinner.
After a top-class tournament, he gave Ugo Humbert a real tennis lesson in the final to win his second Masters 1000 of the season (after Rome).
The battle for second place in the world is thus back on, and all will be decided at the year-end Masters next week.
