Auger-Aliassime Receives Last-Minute Invitation to Estoril Challenger
The Madrid Masters 1000 ended early for Félix Auger-Aliassime, who was eliminated in the second round by qualifier Juan Manuel Cerundolo.
A finalist in the tournament last year, the Canadian suffered a major setback and will drop out of the Top 20, virtually ranking 26th in the world. To maintain his rhythm and continue playing matches on clay, he has received a wild card for the Estoril Challenger, which starts tomorrow and runs until May 4.
Alex Michelsen, Nuno Borges, Kei Nishikori, and Joao Fonseca will also compete in the Portuguese tournament.
