Badosa and Kvitova withdraw from Rome this Thursday

While Paula Badosa was set to make her debut in Rome this Thursday in the first round against Naomi Osaka, the Spaniard withdrew at the last minute. Still struggling with a back injury, she has been replaced by Viktorija Golubic.

As for Petra Kvitova, she was scheduled to face Ons Jabeur after her impressive win against Irina-Camelia Begu. Unfortunately for the Czech player, she was forced to withdraw. Jabeur thus advances to the third round without playing.
