Paola Badosa doesn't have a classic career trajectory.
The darling of the Spanish people, she first enjoyed a magnificent rise, even climbing to 2nd place in the world in 2022, before plummeting to the bottom of the rankings.

Badosa suffered a serious back injury and was not far from retirement.

Finally, by dint of her courage, the right-hander slowly worked her way back up, even returning to the top 100 (65th this week).

With the Olympic Games approaching, the Spaniard has decided not to activate her protected ranking, preferring to save her body for the American tour.

Questioned by "Elle" magazine, she recently confided in us about her current state of mind:

"I've learned to be very patient and accept the things I can't control, like an injury of this calibre.

Above all, I've learned to be strong, to push myself every day and to accept the things I can't control, which isn't uncommon in this sport.

It's something that serves me well in life too. What drives me to fight every day is my passion for what I do.

However, even though I don't feel old (26), don't get me wrong, there's a part of me that's exhausted from overcoming stone after stone on the road.
We're not robots. We have to stop, think, breathe and recharge our batteries. I've suffered a lot from expectations and pressures.

I was very hard on myself. I had to learn to enjoy myself, because before, all I could see was the top, the top and the top.

Reaching that goal, and to get there, you have to work hard along the way."

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...

TT- Your pop up ads almost make the app unusable.

FYI- Ive never bought a single item from any of them after years of using your app, a goal that started as short term but has developed into long term.
