Badosa is back on the grass at Wimbledon!
Paula Badosa is greening up on the grass of the All England Club. The former world No.2 beat Daria Kasatkina on Thursday to reach the last 16 of Wimbledon. She dominated the world no. 12 after a hard-fought battle lasting almost three hours and three sets (7-6, 4-6, 6-4), the first time she'd played in a Grand Slam tournament for so long.
Exactly 2 years ago, at Wimbledon 2022, the Spaniard had already reached the Round of 16. After that, injuries - mainly to her back - prevented her from playing enough matches to be successful.
She seems to be feeling much better on the London grass and will be looking to confirm this against Donna Vekic or Dayana Yastremska.
