Paolini overcomes Andreescu to reach the last 16 at Wimbledon

Prior to 2024, Jasmine Paolini hadn't won a single match on the main grass-court circuit (excluding qualifying). This season, she has already won 5 and will play the second week at Wimbledon. Pretty crazy!

Her crazy journey at Roland-Garros seems to have completely changed her status. Number 7 in the world this week, the Italian is moving through the ranks at full speed. Already victorious over Sorribes Tormo and Minnen, Paolini perfectly dominated an in-form Bianca Andreescu (7-6, 6-1).
