Beaten by Shelton, Fils will have regrets!

Despite several set points in the second set, Arthur Fils was beaten by Ben Shelton in the Basel semi-finals.

The Frenchman had the key to a third set. He led 5-0 in the tie-break of the second set and even had five set points before cracking.

A two-set defeat by Ben Shelton (6-3, 7-6) halted his run of thirteen consecutive wins in ATP 500 tournaments.

Tomorrow, Ben Shelton will play in the first final of his career in Basel and could win a second title this season after Houston last April.
