Stefanos Tsitsipas is having a very impressive tournament at Roland-Garros. After winning the title in Monte Carlo, the Greek is one of the main outsiders for the title. After three excellent opening matches, the world number 9 enters the Round of 16 with a very high level of confidence.
To reach the quarter-finals of this year's French Open, he'll have to face one of the tournament's great sensations: Matteo Analdi, ranked 35th and Rublev's stunning winner (7-6, 6-2, 6-4). Although a clear favorite on paper, Tsitsipas is determined to remain cautious.

When asked about his opponent, he knows what to expect, which is why he's expecting a big match: "I know exactly what type of player he is, because I've seen him play in Barcelona, I've seen him play abroad, I've seen him play in Rome, I've seen him play here. I've been keeping an eye on him for the last six months, I'd say, when he really started to make an impact, when he really started to make appearances on the ATP Tour.

He's someone who gets on the court to win and fights long and hard. He never gives up. I've noticed that about him. He's an excellent fighter. When it comes to fighting, he fights and doesn't give up. So he'll fight and he won't give up. That's something I'm waiting for."

As a laboratory for tomorrow’s tennis, does the Next Gen Masters have a future?

Conceived as a bold bet to prepare for the post–Big 3 era, the Next Gen Masters has shaken up the codes of modern tennis. A pioneering, visionary tournament, but now in search of an identity.

Outfits, logos, and personalized collections: brands invest millions in players, turning every match into a global advertising showcase.

Struggles with injuries and lack of money: the double punishment for tennis players far from the Top 100 stars

A tennis player's income depends solely on his sporting results. In the event of injury, the daily life of those far from the Top 100 can become extremely complicated.

Omnipresent cameras, line judges on the verge of extinction, mistakes that persist nonetheless: technology fascinates as much as it divides. Tennis, at a crossroads, is still searching for its balance between progress and emotion.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
