Before facing Djokovic, De Minaur reassures: "I'm feeling pretty good"

Alex De Minaur is enjoying a very high-quality 2024 season.
Now that he has established himself as one of the world's top 10 players, the Australian is hoping to aim even higher. Quarter-finalist at Roland Garros, he is now preparing for his first Wimbledon quarter-final, against a certain Novak Djokovic.
De Minaur won in style against Arthur Fils (6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3), but still had his fans worried. Slipping on his winning match point, the world number 9 appeared to be suffering from thigh pain.
Asked about the scare, the 25-year-old was reassuring: "I just slipped when I hit my forehand on my first match point. My hip was a bit rusty. It's probably just a little scare.
I feel pretty good. My body has been through a very physical match, it's a bit rusty all over, I'm not going to lie. I'm going to recover well and I'm sure I'll feel fine tomorrow (Tuesday)."
