Djokovic Set for Athens: Opening Match Against Tabilo
Novak Djokovic is present at the ATP 250 in Athens, which began on Sunday.
The tournament, now organized in Greece by his brother Djordje after an edition in Belgrade, naturally features the former world number one as the main headliner.
For his opening match, the Serb will face an opponent he has never managed to defeat: Alejandro Tabilo. The Chilean has indeed beaten him twice, first in Rome (6-2, 6-3) in 2024, then in Monte-Carlo (6-3, 6-4) earlier this year.
But under indoor conditions, the situation will undoubtedly be different. Tabilo, in fact, needed three tight sets to overcome Adam Walton (7-6, 6-7, 7-5) in the first round.
The match between Djokovic and Tabilo will be played on Tuesday.
