Benneteau: "Swiatek doesn't have to accept the penalty
During the latest 'Les Grandes Gueules du Sport' program, broadcast on RMC Sport, Julien Benneteau agreed to take part in a debate on the one-month sanction imposed on Iga Swiatek.
According to the captain of the French Fed Cup team, the International Tennis Integrity Agency's communication was rather catastrophic: "You have to look carefully at what the ITIA says. Once the whole process has been completed, Iga Swiatek accepts the sanction, that's how they communicate.
But Iga Swiatek doesn't have to accept the sanction, it's normal for her to be sanctioned. It's a big problem of communication."
