Berrettini Parts Ways with Ferrara, Former Sinner Physio Involved in Doping Scandal

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian tennis player Matteo Berrettini and his fitness trainer, Umberto Ferrara, have ended their collaboration after only six months together.

Ferrara became known to the public for his involvement in the doping scandal that resulted in a three-month suspension for the current world No. 1, Sinner.

On the sports front, Berrettini was once again injured in Rome and decided to skip Roland-Garros to prepare for the grass season. The former world No. 6 reached the Wimbledon final in 2021.
