Bertolucci: "Sinner and Alcaraz Represent Two Different but Complementary Playing Philosophies"

There are rivalries that redefine a generation. The one between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz is already one of them. Paolo Bertolucci, a former Italian champion and consultant, discussed this duel in an interview relayed by Tennis World Italia:
"The long battle between him and Alcaraz, who currently dominate tennis with a clear advantage over the rest of the tour, will in all likelihood be the common thread not only for 2026, but also for the seasons to come.
The duel between these two young phenoms is already the new frontier of this sport: they represent two different but complementary playing philosophies, destined to battle for the biggest titles for years.
Regarding Turin and the predictions one can make? It's simple: Sinner will be there, there's no question about it. As for Alcaraz, he had a physical problem in Paris, but I'm sure we will see him competitive in Turin. The other players, although dangerous on certain days, seem very far off in terms of level.
Only Zverev, if he is having a very good day, can trouble them, but it's not certain he can beat them. When Sinner and Alcaraz are in the draw, it's hard to imagine a different final: they are the two big favorites and they will be in Turin as well."
More than just a rivalry, Sinner and Alcaraz embody two visions of modern tennis. One is methodical, cold, and surgical. The other is instinctive, explosive, and unpredictable.
