Billie Jean King: "They complain about schedules, but they play exhibitions"
In an interview with the BBC, Billie Jean King was asked about the current schedule. Some players had spoken out to protest against the schedule, which was deemed too long and taxing.
The former American player didn't mince her words: "It's funny to see them constantly complaining, but during their month off, they play exhibitions.
They say they need to rest, but if there's enough money on the line, they'll go anywhere. To me, it's not a valid argument to protest and then do this."
