Loïs Boisson will not forget Roland-Garros 2025 for a long time. The French player, invited by the tournament organizers, did more than just make the most of her wild card.

Ranked outside the top 300 in May, she defeated Elise Mertens, Anhelina Kalinina, Elsa Jacquemot, Jessica Pegula, and Mirra Andreeva before losing in the semifinals to Coco Gauff, in her third consecutive match against a top-10 player.

"I told myself it was a tournament like any other"

A guest on Clique on Canal+ in recent days, Boisson reflected on the national excitement surrounding her performances during the tournament, and insists she felt nothing from the outside because she wanted to stay in her bubble. She also discusses her lost match against the American at the gates of the final.

"Before the semifinal, I slept very well. I won't say I surprised myself, but I managed everything superbly throughout the three weeks. For me, I was at a French tournament elsewhere, I wasn't at Roland-Garros. I told myself it was a tournament like any other. I went on Chatrier but I didn't feel it that way. I was really in a 'zone' where I felt good. I didn't put pressure on myself, I didn't feel the pressure from the outside.

"In the semifinals, I started to feel the nervous fatigue"

On the contrary, I had such different sensations at Roland because of the court. Sometimes, I don't know how to explain it, but you have the feeling that nothing can happen to you. At the time, I didn't feel the national fervor around my progress.

At first, it wasn't intentional, but as the days went by, I didn't use my phone much, I didn't go on social media, I didn't eat at restaurants. I was really in my tournament. If we talk about Coco (Gauff), she played an incredible match, she was stronger than me, I couldn't say otherwise. She really played super well.

On my side, I started to feel the nervous fatigue, I couldn't concentrate on the right things anymore. My old demons were coming back: I started to get angry, I wasn't serene. I also lacked experience. By managing that better, I hope my next semifinals will go better," she assured.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.

What a finish this is.. I believe King has used his boost for today. Skelp is closing strong. Two wins and he claims 1st if I lose my last prediction.

Gonna be difficult with only 2 pointers to choose from.
