United Cup: France Draws Italy and Switzerland Again, Groups for 2026 Edition Revealed
The 2026 season will kick off with the United Cup (January 2-11), the mixed-team competition that will be in its fourth edition.
Eighteen nations will participate, and the group draw, conducted this Monday, has delivered its first verdicts. In Perth, the defending champions, the United States, were placed in Group A alongside Spain and Argentina.
France, led by Arthur Rinderknech and Loïs Boisson, finds itself once again in the same group as last year, with Italy's Jasmine Paolini and Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka.
Group E will also feature exciting matchups, with Great Britain's Draper and Raducanu, Greece's Tsitsipas and Sakkari, and Japan's Naomi Osaka.
In Sydney, Group B will bring together Canada, Belgium, and China. In Group D, the host nation, Australia, will face the Czech Republic and Norway. Finally, Poland's Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz, finalists in the last two editions, will cross paths with Germany's Alexander Zverev and the Netherlands in Group F.
