Bonzi in the Adelaide quarter-finals, Cazaux and Guinard fall in the last eight

After Gaël Monfils in Auckland, a second Frenchman will be in the quarter-finals of an ATP tournament this week. It's Benjamin Bonzi in Adelaide.
A qualifier, the 28 year-old eliminated Australian wild card Li Tu without too much trouble (6-3, 6-3) and is now through to the quarter-finals, where he will meet Miomir Kecmanovic, who defeated Christopher O'Connell in straight sets.
It's all over for Arthur Cazaux, however. The Montpellier native put up a good fight against Félix Auger-Aliassime, but eventually succumbed in 2 hours 33 minutes (1-6, 6-4, 7-5).
The Canadian, seeded number 3 in the tournament, will face Marcos Giron for a place in the semi-finals.
Finally, lucky loser Manuel Guinard gave his all against Tommy Paul, top seed in the Adelaide tournament.
After eliminating Roman Safiullin, the 29-year-old, ranked 269th in the world, took a set from the world's 12th-ranked player but eventually lost (6-4, 3-6, 6-3). Paul goes on to meet Rinky Hijikata in the next round.
