Borg Talks About His Current Relationship with McEnroe: "When We Meet, We Never Talk About Tennis"
Björn Borg and John McEnroe made tennis history with their rivalry, pitting two very different personalities against each other on the men's tour between the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Speaking to *Mundo Deportivo*, Borg reflected on their rivalry and the relationship they share today, having notably served as captains together at the Laver Cup from 2017 to 2024:
"We are good friends. We call each other, we meet up, we spend time with our families. We have respect for each other, and we both know exactly what we did for tennis years ago.
"We took tennis to another level, helped the sport, and we’re proud of that. It’s very important for us to be friends and stay in touch. When we meet, we never talk about tennis. We talk about other things that feel more important to us."
