Bourg-de-Péage Open: Team France and Team World tied after the first day

The first two matches of the team exhibition in Bourg-de-Péage lived up to all expectations. To kick off the weekend, Adrian Mannarino and Hamad Medjedovic faced off.

Despite losing the first set, the Frenchman eventually got the better of the Serb (6-7, 6-2, 6-2) and allowed "Team France" to take the lead early in the evening.

Collignon dominates Halys, perfect tie after the first day

Following that, Quentin Halys and Raphaël Collignon battled for the second point of this Friday. Already a tormentor of the French team during the Davis Cup Final 8 last month, the Belgian confirmed his good form at the end of the year.

In a very tight match, the world No. 87 prevailed in a suspenseful finish (6-4, 3-6, 7-5) and allowed "Team World" to draw level with their opponent. Three matches will take place this Saturday as part of the tournament's continuation.

Starting at 1 PM, Chloé Paquet, who replaced Léolia Jeanjean at the last minute, will face Elena-Gabriela Ruse. Not before 3 PM, Quentin Halys will play against Hamad Medjedovic. In the late afternoon, Adrian Mannarino will challenge Stan Wawrinka on his side.
