Bublik changes his schedule and will play two clay court tournaments after Wimbledon
Alexander Bublik surprised the tennis world during Roland-Garros by reaching the quarterfinals, a first in his career.
The Kazakh, clearly motivated by his results at Porte d'Auteuil, has decided to make a drastic change to his schedule. Instead of heading to the United States after Wimbledon to begin the hard-court American tour, Bublik will compete in two ATP 250 clay court tournaments in Gstaad (July 14-20) and Kitzbühel (July 20-26).
He had never entered these tournaments before in his career. It remains to be seen whether the choice of the world No. 43 will pay off.
