Draw for the ATP 500 Halle Tournament: Sinner and Zverev Headline, Three French Players Also in Action in Germany

Like the Queen's Club Championships, the Halle tournament attracts some of the world's best players. On the German grass courts, the competitors will aim to battle their way to the final and succeed Jannik Sinner, last year's champion. The world No. 1 is the top contender to defend his title and will begin his campaign against a qualifier.

If he advances, he will face either Alexandre Muller or Alexander Bublik in the round of 16. Last year's finalist, Hubert Hurkacz, will take on Tomas Machac in the opening round. Fourth-seeded Andrey Rublev will start his tournament against a qualifier and could meet Pedro Martinez or Tomas Martin Etcheverry for a spot in the quarterfinals.

In his first tournament with his new coach Goran Ivanisevic, Stefanos Tsitsipas will play against Luciano Darderi, while Daniil Medvedev will try to overcome Daniel Altmaier.

The Russian could face Quentin Halys in the round of 16 if the Frenchman wins his first-round match against an opponent yet to be determined. The third French player in the draw, Ugo Humbert, will play what promises to be an explosive match against another left-hander, Denis Shapovalov.

Wildcard João Fonseca will take on Flavio Cobolli. Finally, second-seeded Alexander Zverev will open his campaign against Marcos Giron. If he wins his opener, he will face the winner of the clash between Lorenzo Sonego and Jan-Lennard Struff. Find the full tournament draw below.
