Caen Open: Boisson, the headline act, withdraws
Scheduled for the Caen Open for several weeks, Loïs Boisson will not be going to Normandy.
The French number one and surprise semi-finalist at Roland-Garros has chosen to withdraw from the exhibition where she was supposed to face Ophélie Boullay, this year's French champion in the 17-18 age group.
"She hopes to make her return to Caen by the end of 2026"
"Loïs Boisson is forced to withdraw from her participation in the Caen Open to continue her recovery and treatment phase ahead of the Australian tour. She will not be able to compete in mid-December but hopes to make her return to Caen by the end of 2026," the organizers specified on social media.
The French player will be replaced in the tournament draw by Anna Blinkova, world number 62.
