Victorious over Sinner (7-6, 6-1) in the Rome tournament final, Alcaraz claimed his 7th Masters 1000 title at just 22 years old. Delivering an outstanding performance, the Spaniard will head to Roland-Garros with two titles and one final on clay this season. Known for his insightful analysis, Frenchman Gilles Simon commented on the world No. 2's victory on X:
"Carlos is truly one of a kind to watch play. The sense that he can have a stroke of genius at any moment in a point is already incredibly enjoyable. But the fact that he has enough composure to attempt them in high-pressure moments is very impressive."
Alcaraz will aim to defend his title in Paris after his triumph over Zverev in 2025.
