Carlos sometimes struggles to finish the season, Roddick's observation on Alcaraz

During his podcast Served, Andy Roddick discussed the end of the season and compared Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

For him, the Spaniard handles the end of the season less well than the Italian and may have found the cause: "It seems like Carlos sometimes struggles to finish the season. He's the kind of player who feeds off the crowd's energy.

He loves the atmosphere, the spectacle, he loves entertaining the crowd. And then comes this part of the season where there are only about four minutes of daylight per day, you know?

You arrive at the court in the light, and when you leave, it's already dark. Everywhere he plays, it's dark by 4:15 PM. If I'm not mistaken, Sinner would fit that profile better: he arrives, does his job, and leaves. Carlos, on the other hand, might need more inspiration.
